Hero Fishing works to improve the lives and mental wellbeing of Military Veterans, First Responders, and Everyday Heroes
Hero Fishing provides educational, therapeutic and recreation programming, through fishing adventures, educational seminars and creating a family environment for all our Heroes, which come from all walks of life.
Numerous studies have shown that traumatic events not only effect the psychological structures of the self, but also the attachment and meaning that link individuals and their families together.
All our programs seek to restore those disconnects. They allow our Heroes a chance to have social interactions and bond with other fellow Heroes, while enjoying the sport of fishing.
Anoka County Pheasants Forever Chapter
A nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasants and the upland bird populations in North America.
The local chapter in Anoka County was founded amongst those upland hunters and sportsmen and women in your community in 1984. Our goal is to provide those avid outdoorsmen and women an opportunity to assist in the protection and enhancement of pheasants and other upland bird populations around the local area.
Pheasants Forever is the only national organization with a model of chapters keeping 100% of the funds they raise. While belonging to a larger national organization that has a voice on federal and state conservation policies, chapters are tasked with finding projects for their funds. Minnesota takes full advantage of this model using funds raised for projects locally as well as other areas in the state of Minnesota.
Renegade Bassers (MN B.A.S.S. Nation Club)
The Renegade Bassers bass fishing club aims to enjoy the great sport of bass fishing as a collective group of anglers. As a whole, the B.A.S.S. Nation is a global nonprofit network of locally organized clubs whose members participate in and support a range of activities, including tournaments, conservation initiatives and youth programs. Three competitors, who qualify through a rigorous series of local and regional tournaments and then the national championship, advance to bass fishing’s biggest stage, The Bassmaster Classic.

Michigan Operation Freedom Outdoors (MiOFO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to provide outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities to wounded veterans and individuals with health challenges and to coordinate a support network that facilitates their recovery through connecting with nature.
Vets R Us, Inc.
Vets R Us, Inc. is a Minnesota 501(c)(3) non-profit serving our Veterans, Active-Duty Military, National Guard, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and EMS/First Responders. We achieve this through our primary initiative: Mental Health & Wellness providing no-cost outdoor therapeutic opportunities to help with healing, self-care, and building healthy relationships within the community.
